Spring in Tuscany, 2003. Waves of wild flowers sweep across the countryside, peek out from under ferns and rocks, and spill over the roadsides.
I bring to my work a keen ear, an eye for the details, and a passion for flowers.
I love working with people who are eager to make their occasions beautiful, and appreciate the vitality and expressive nature of flowers.
Flourish is a collaboration. I take my cues from you -- your ideas and the brainstorming and dialoging we will do together. For a gift vase, this might take one phone call; for a larger occasion, it might involve a few meetings over many months.
In the final days the pace quickens. Shopping begins at the Boston Flower Exchange, where flowers arrive several times a week from all over the world. With buckets of fresh blooms on every surface and the studio bursting with color and scent, designing commences. How quickly loose flowers become arrangements. Soon, we’re bringing them to your venue, orchestrating the whole, looking after the details.
It’s always new, and always a pleasure.

Too soon the villa has turned into a bower –
I have filled every vase and pitcher; there is simply nowhere to put this last handful.
Yet I cannot resist picking a few more flowers every time I step out the door. That’s when it strikes me -- the idea of filling other people’s houses and lives with flowering abundance.
With my background in painting, weaving, and art history; flower design seemed a natural. For the next six years, I trained by working alongside accomplished and gifted designers.
